Ok I am having problems with the latency. My comp is 3 ram 2.6 ghz amd 2x processor. I have a gforce 8500 graphics card(yeah I know need a 8800) I believe its 256 or 512 pretty sure 512 and I run windows vista. I can have the FPS running around 30 at alltimes but I will have a latency spike most of the time shooting into the range of 9000. I even have been booted because of latency spikes. I have all the video settings turned down and still have issues. I am lost as to what to do can someone please help. Getting very frustrated about this. I have died a # of times pvping because of this. Do not like it due to I want my kills over coming my deaths but find it hard to due because of this matter PLEASE HELP?

Hey Achilies, Your problem with latency will not be a problem with your actual computer. It is a network issue. Latency is the response time between your computer and the game server. If you have high latency it is usually due to a slow network connection or blocked ports. More information is needed. What kind if internet service are you using? Cable? DSL? Are you wired or wireless? Do you use a router? What kind of firewall are you using for your system? These are the things you will need to play around with. To see your connection speed go to websites like wugnet or speakeasy.net and test your connection speed. I am also under the assumption that this server is located in Australia.
